We are a team of specialist entomologists, ecologists, plant pathologists and molecular biologists with considerable commercial and academic experience across a range of pest-control sectors, on an international basis. The company was founded by Dr Alison Blackwell, who is an internationally-recognised authority on biting insect biology, particularly biting midges. Following the completion of a prestigious Royal Society of Edinburgh Enterprise Fellowship, she was supported by the Edinburgh Pre-Incubation Scheme (EPIS) from 2004-2005 during the establishment of APS.
