Advanced Pest Solutions

Advanced Pest Solutions Ltd. was founded in 2004 to address pest- and disease issues in a number of key market sectors, including:

leisure and tourism
livestock farming
agricultural pathogen and pest control

The company was founded by Dr Alison Blackwell, who is an internationally-recognised authority on biting insect biology, particularly biting midges. Following the completion of a prestigious Royal Society of Edinburgh Enterprise Fellowship, she was supported by the Edinburgh Pre-Incubation Scheme (EPIS) from 2004-2005 during the establishment of APS.

The company currently has laboratory and office facilities in Edinburgh, UK.
